What is a flexible spending account?

Last Updated: Mar 24, 2017 11:51AM CDT
A flexible spending account is also known as an FSA. It’s a program that allows you to set aside money (before taxes) for specific health care expenses, like a glasses or contacts prescription. Any money left unspent at the end of the calendar year is forfeited. If you’re unsure whether or not you have an FSA, please check with your insurance company.
